Depot was one of my first serious endeavours into the world of mapping for the Source Engine and was originally intended as an experiment to test the potential of Source. After a while I began to get a lot of feedback from people asking me to convert it to a Half-Life 2 Death match map, so I took the map further developing it into a fully working level.
Based on a mix of European industrial architecture and inspired by the art of Half-Life 2, Depot is a desolate outpost on the outskirts of City 17, one of the last sanctuaries for the rebels – until now.
Admittedly the game play was a little flawed due to the development process but its release was very successful and was featured on a number of large websites and magazines such as Planet Half-Life CG Talk and PC Zone. Download Map
